Why Giraffes Have Long Necks
A long time ago before people a circus was invented. At that circus humans weren’t there.  It was just animals. Giraffes had short necks. The circus was very boring. One day after the circus the animals were walking home and the giraffe saw a long didgeridoo. He took it home with him. When he got home he started playing it. But when the other giraffe walked behind he knocked his head into the didgeridoo. The giraffes weren’t very smart so they tried pulling his head through. But they only got his head out. After three days and nights with it on him his neck stretched. When they finally got it off his neck was six feet long. The other giraffe was astonished. But then he had an idea. If both of them had long necks the circus would be way more fun. But instead of sticking his head into a didgeridoo he got leather and shaped it with the didgeridoo. Then he stuck his head into the leather tube. And then he tightened it on his head for three days and nights too. When they took it off his head was six feet tall too. Then they had to go to the circus. The giraffes were nervous that the ringmaster wouldn’t like their idea but he did. That day there weren’t a lot of other animals there. But the animals who were there spread the news about the giraffes. And more and more animals came to the circus. Once other giraffes heard about it they started doing it. And soon all of the giraffes were doing it and it all happened because of one clumsy giraffe.
